ColorGATE Introduces Version 24 of Productionserver, Filmgate, and Proofgate
ColorGATE, a global leader in digital printing solutions, announces the release of version 24 of its flagship software Productionserver, alongside updates to Filmgate and Proofgate. The new versions will be available from October 7, 2024, and bring significant advances in precision, output capabilities, and workflow optimization, setting new standards for intuitive, high-quality digital printing across multiple industries.

Printing.Simplified with Version 24
Version 24 is designed around the theme of Printing.Simplified and focuses on four key areas:
- Automation Productionserver: In addition to the existing Flexline and Industrial versions of Productionserver, ColorGATE introduces Automation Productionserver. This product version has been designed for use in automated workflows with a centralized ripping instance, and operation through ColorGATE’s powerful REST API.
- Precision Simplified: In ColorGATE’s latest software version, the company has taken the complexity out of achieving perfect results. Users will benefit from the Advanced Media Preview, which offers an enhanced visualization of job elements such as cut marks, QR codes, and multipage jobs before production begins.
- Output Simplified: Expanding printing capabilities shouldn’t be complicated. Productionserver gives users more control and versatility, making it easier to achieve the desired results. The extended Multilayer Printing supports different job files for top and bottom layers. Especially suitable for "Day & Night" backlit and double-sided block-out prints with varied images on each side.
- Workflow Simplified: Workflow automation has been enhanced with improved REST API support, including the support of Media Device Synchronization. In addition, the latest Adobe© PDF Print Engine Version 6.3 has been implemented, ensuring flawless PDF rendering from design to final print.
ColorGATE: Leading through Innovation
Version 24 supports more than 2,000 devices, with new drivers constantly being added. Customers benefit from ColorGATE’s simplified software maintenance concept, the Value Pack, which provides access to support, the latest software updates and new features. In addition, ColorGATE offers a Full Subscription, where customers rent the software including the Value Pack for full-service coverage.
