IPCO, the world’s largest manufacturer of steel belts, is introducing the benefits of its technology to digital print lines, improving print accuracy and delivering print speeds faster than possible with other belt types.
IPCO steel belts are manufactured to fine tolerances – thicknesses of 0.4 mm upwards are available – and are engineered to ensure absolute flatness. These qualities, together with the fact that steel belts are also extremely stable and will not stretch, results in consistent belt positioning and the distance between print head and print material ensures maximum print accuracy.
Applications for steel belt-based digital printing include packaging and board panels.
Steel belts can be supplied to virtually any length and in widths to suit specific press requirements, and can be solid or perforated, the latter enabling the use of a vacuum system to eliminate any risk of the print material moving on the belt.
