Nicola Penhallow,
Publishing Director

Nicola, an associate member of the British Institute of Marketing, has over 20 years international commercial experience in a variety of industries including container shipping, media and accountancy. She has used her marketing degree and extensive sales experience to help small and medium businesses grow. She is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity at Specialist Printing Worldwide to help our customers to grow their businesses. Nicola loves living by the sea and spends her spare time paddle boarding and swimming with her family.

Penny Potter,
Editorial Consultant

Penny has had over 30 years experience in the publishing world. As well as editing and proofreading a wide range of publications, she has also been involved in the production process. Her career began in the 1980s with children’s project books where she commissioned authors, illustrators and photographers, and edited and proofread each book. Penny moved on to medical publishing in the early ‘90s where she was responsible for the production of a variety of conference materials including magazines. She took a break from publishing to pursue her love of art and received a Degree in Fine Art Painting in 2006. Since then Penny has split her time between creating art and textiles with freelance editorial work.

Penny lives in Shoreham with her husband Matthew and dog Mango.

Alison Smith,
Designer & Director (Blue Daze Design Limited)

Alison has over 30 years’ experience in design and print and is responsible for making sure SPW comes together beautifully every issue! She has produced work for the travel, hobby, beauty and automotive sectors. Alison's hobbies include camping (when the weather permits!) and cycling.

Lisa Craik,
Digital Manager

Lisa has worked in the container shipping industry for over 20 years working in a variety of commercial roles from pricing to supporting Global key accounts but felt like a change was needed and so is really pleased to now be part of the Specialist Printing Worldwide family. Lisa is also very involved in local voluntary conservation work and is now a trainee beekeeper with the local community group. As well as learning all about the amazing world of bees and other pollinators she also spends free time creating stained glass pictures and learning wood turning.

Robert Penhallow,
Creative Director

Robert has run his own media production company for the last 10 years. He brings a wealth of experience and has worked with clients in a variety of market segments. He is now bringing those skills to benefit the clients of Specialist Printing Worldwide. Quality production and keen insight are hallmarks of Roberts work and he is also extremely nice to work with! Robert enjoys paddle boarding and long boarding and when he is not busy working he loves to spend time with his family.

Karen Hobden
Accounts Manager

Karen has worked in the events and publishing industry for many years: firstly as a PA, moving to graphic design and now in finance. In fact, she enjoys nothing more than organising people and paperwork! When she isn’t busy with her teenage children and dog, Karen enjoys fitness classes, amigurumi and spending time with friends. She is thrilled to be the latest member of the Specialist Printing Worldwide team.
